About BeamPath
How we got here, who we are, and why we do this.
Our Story
BeamPath started with a simple observation: AI is transforming medicine, but most physicians don't know where to start. The resources exist, scattered across YouTube, Coursera, GitHub, and a hundred other places, but nobody was putting them together in a way that made sense for clinicians and researchers.
So we built what we wished existed. A curated collection of the best AI educational resources on the internet, organized for people in medicine and science. No fluff, no paywalls, no corporate jargon. Just the good stuff, with honest descriptions of what each resource actually teaches and who it's for.
We believe AI literacy isn't optional anymore. Whether you're a resident trying to make sense of the latest tool your hospital just adopted, a researcher looking to integrate NLP into your pipeline, or a physician who just wants to understand what all the fuss is about, BeamPath is here to help you get there.
Partially funded by the ACRO Luther Brady Educational Grant.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I use BeamPath?
Browse our Libraries to find curated resources organized by topic. Each resource includes a description, difficulty level, and a direct link to the original source. If you're brand new to AI, start with the "Getting Started" library.
Is BeamPath free?
Yes. BeamPath is completely free. We don't charge for access, and we don't receive referral fees or commissions from any resource we recommend.
Who is BeamPath for?
Physicians, scientists, researchers, and anyone in healthcare or academia who wants to understand and use AI tools effectively. You don't need a technical background.
Do you host the courses and videos on your site?
No. We curate and link to publicly available resources. When you click through to a resource, you're visiting the original creator's platform. We write our own descriptions and recommendations.
How are resources selected?
Our team reviews and hand-picks every resource. We prioritize quality, accessibility, and practical relevance. If it's on BeamPath, someone on our team has gone through it and thinks it's worth your time.
Do you really use all of these tools?
Every single one. If it has a "Ramez's Pick" tag, it's in active daily rotation. We don't recommend things we haven't used ourselves. Life's too short for tools that don't deliver.
Can I suggest a resource?
Absolutely. If you've found something useful, we want to hear about it. Send it to beampath@gmail.com and we'll review it for inclusion.
Do you use AI to create content?
Yes. We use AI tools in drafting and editing original BeamPath content (articles, guides, newsletters). All content is reviewed and approved by our team before publication. We practice what we preach.
Do you think AI will take over?
If it does, at least we'll be prepared. But seriously - no. AI is a tool, not a replacement. The whole point of BeamPath is to help you stay in the driver's seat. The physicians who understand AI will be the ones shaping how it's used in medicine, not the other way around.
Have you watched the movie Her?
It's Rafiq's favorite movie. He says he relates to the protagonist. We're not sure which one.
